The Pound is progressing well and strengthening against the Swiss Franc. A 12% rise over the first few months of 2009 followed by a stabilisation at around SFr. 1.74 to the £, means that UK buyers are looking to buy property in Switzerland with much more confidence.

Switzerland still has some of the lowest borrowing rates in Europe. Take advantage of mortgage rates as low as 1.7%. Typical loan to value ratios with most Swiss lenders are around 75%, but through negotiation it is possible to borrow up to 100% of the property value subject to additional investments being placed with the lender (Thus avoiding the need to change any Sterling into Francs at this present time).
