One energy supplier has recently unveiled that it has increased its gas prices by 19%, in addition to a 10% increase in the price of electricity. Experts believe that these energy hikes will increase the average household’s annual energy bill by around £185- squeezing people’s finances even tighter. This works out that the average family is £14 worse off every week than last year.

This is with the intention of making the companies reduce their charges, through implementing a fair pricing policy. A spokesperson has said that reform cannot come soon enough for those who are currently struggling to pay their energy bills.
