Certainly, Apple paved the way for revolutionizing consumer electronic devices because it is the one who introduced iPhones and iPads.

Tablets are no longer dominated by Apple. iPads have truly revolutionized the way we view mobile Internet, but the giant company is not the sole producer of these gadgets now that a lot of companies have been able to join the race as they come up with their own version of tablets using Android as the operating system. Since Apple needs to approve apps sold here, users find it disadvantageous and hence give a score to Android gadgets. This is also the same issue opened by programmers because they have better opportunities at Android because of their lighter restrictions.

Users who have long wanted to have their own tablets but find iPad very expensive find solution in cheap tablets that use Android as its operating system. It doesn't necessarily mean that all Android tablets are cheap, but certainly, you can find one that best fits your needs as well as your budget. There are also models that are priced higher than the rest, and it all depends upon the specifications of every unit.
