This year the grand Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2012 saw giant brands such as Intel, Kodak, Samsung, Apple, LG, Toshiba, Nokia, Polaroid, Blackberry, Ford, Xerox showcase their best in the industry. The big trend for computing was coined by international chip-maker Intel, for a new class of ultra-thin laptops. The television sets could give a person an inferiority complex about the television sets you own at home. This was how the brands stood: Samsung proclaiming "The Future of Smart TV, Now.", China's Hisense touting, "The first personal mobile Smart TV." And LG Electronics asking, "How Smart Is Your 3D?" Not far behind was the Huawei Ascend P1 S. Huawei claims it is the world's thinnest smartphone.

Coming back to our roots, India is not far behind in terms of technology with the Photo Fair 2012 in Mumbai. Fujifilm announced its first digital camera to have a port for an external microphone. The show was filled with workshops, seminars, galleries and contests for all photography lovers.
