Tennessee Tea Party Suspends Operations

Nashville, Tennessee, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) January 8, 2012 -- Nashville, TN – (February 6, 2012) The Tennessee Tea Party announced yesterday that it will end operations and redirect focus on faith based initiatives.

The Tea Party group founded in March 2009 and headed by husband and wife team Robert and Tami Kilmarx consists of over 4,500 members in its email database. In a statement to its members yesterday they said that the current state of affairs in the country calls for a return back to the foundation of faith and morality in which this country was founded. Tennessee Tea President Tami Kilmarx states, “that WE cannot fix this problem we have. We are in the spiritual battle of all times….no one more piece of legislation, one more election, will ever fix this.”
Concurrent with the announcement of the ending of the Tennessee Tea Party the husband and wife team announced the launching of the Salt and Light Institute which is to be an educational initiative of their Christian activism entity the Black Robe Regiment. They request that current Tennessee Tea Party members follow them to this new initiative with the promise of a vibrant local chapter of this national group. The Black Robe Regiment maintains a social network with state level groups or chapters that are currently forming.

The Salt and Light Institute will offer a wide variety of educational opportunities locally on a myriad of relevant topics at its training center in Madison.
