A new patented ceramic plate is being produced in China (Pat. Pending in China too) and introduced to the USA market through Amazon.com . The "InstaHot 30 min plus" HotSmart plate remains still hot after 30 minutes to keep food hot at the table; it needs only one minute preheating in a full size microwave oven and can be handled safely with the bare hands by the rim which never gets hot even though the center of the plate is still so hot after 30 minutes that the bare hand will not stand the heat.

The plate was developed in El Paso TX by Juan J. Ramirez an Industrial Engineer, Stroke and brain tumor survivor who was forced to abandon his career in the manufacturing industry as employee. The inventor has been testing and using on a daily basis his prototypes until the final product was developed.

The plate was developed for the purpose of enjoying food fully but it has been used by weight loss surgery patients (Who have to eat slowly) and is expected to have great acceptance by people who eat slowly for the purpose of losing weight since eating slowly to lose weight is no longer a theory and there is lots of information on this subject on the internet.
