The 2012 Annual Quilt-A-Thon by Oregon Patch Works

Oregon Patch Works have announced their Annual Quilt-A-Thon, the winners for which would be chosen on March 1, 2012. There will be five winners in all. The website has decided February 15, 2012 as the last date for the entries to be submitted. The Grand Prize for the winner would be 12 king cones of Marathon Thread and one full year subscription to Silver Threads Golden Needle Club (prize value is $300). The second prize would be 8 king cones of Marathon Thread and a six month subscription to Silver Threads Golden Needle Club (prize value is $175!). The third, fourth and the fifth prizes are 4 king cones of Marathon Thread and 3 month subscription to Silver Threads Golden Needle Club (prize value is $100!).

For anyone who wishes to participate can download the quilt block patterns and Quilting 101 lessons each month from the Oregon Patch Works website.  New downloads will be added each month. People can use one or more patterns in their quilts. The quilt can be constructed in any way the participant likes, and can use any theme, any colors, any size, any embroideries, etc. The participants can only submit completed work with including batting, quilting and finishing of the quilt.

Then the participant has to take quality images, at least one of the entire quilt and a few close ups of the blocks. Submit the images before February 15, 2012 to support@oregonpatchworks.com. Each entry will be judged for Best Use of Embroidery, Best Use of Fabric, Best Use of Color, and Most Imaginative.  The Grand Prize winner will be the quilt that is the absolute favorite of the judges. The winning quilts will be announced and displayed on March 1, 2012.  The shipped part of prize will be mailed by March 15, 2012.
