Effective cutting edge technology for cleaning can be adapted to save lives in Haiti and other emergency relief need countries.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 22, 2010 -- While Baumgartens is already selling their line of www.conservebrand.com tablet cleaners to Office Depot and other national retailers and wholesalers in the USA, their Vice President wants to use their same cutting edge technology to save lives in Haiti by adapting it into two new products; an anti-malarial and a hospital grade disinfectant.

"There are major problems in Haiti that are getting worse by the day," Said David Baumgarten. "Malaria and infection are getting worse. Combine that with nearly impassable roads, potable water in limited rations and over a million homeless with an average age of only 20 living in very tight quarters, the disaster becomes exponential."

Offering a solution to overcome the odds and obstacles, Baumgartens is adapting its current cleaning tablet technology to make a global impact and save lives.

"As best I could, I put myself in their shoes and asked a the question 'what is the best I can do with what I've got'. Imagine being able to take a five gallon bucket of ocean water, throw in a few tablets and 'prest-o-change-o'! five gallons of mosquito repellent. Or take the same bucket of water from a stream or river, voila! Hospital grade disinfectant," Baumgarten delights. "No need to use drinkable water to manufacture these life saving solutions on the spot."

In the research stage being conducted by Georgia Tech graduates, for one full container-load of tablet repellent or disinfectant it would take approximately 40 containers of other liquid solutions. The way the chemical structure is being designed, one tablet the size of a quarter will mix with water in Haiti to fill a 32 ounce bottle. This helps address the transportation issues.

"A kid with a backpack of tablets could carry them into a village and help protect each and every one from malaria at a tiny fraction of the cost and effort that it would take with a big and heavy spray bottle full of liquid," says Baumgarten. "And, with so many roads impassable, our technology makes getting anywhere with the solution a new possibility.

In a 1000 mile logistics comparison between Conserve Brand Green Cleaners and common liquid glass cleaner, Baumgartens found that their cleaning tablets save over 25,000 Lbs of CO2 from being emitted, costs $3000 less in fuel, saves 1300 gallons of diesel and keeps eight tractor-trailers off the road.
