The Uffizi Gallery couldn’t miss the celebrations for Italy Unification. Not only as a Museum of the State, but also as House of the Senate Chamber when Florence was the capital, it is now giving an exhibition on the "Epic of the Risorgimento, which ended January 15, 2012.
There were exhibited two monumental illustrations about war battles, undertaken for the achievement of the Italian unification: the battle of San Martino Corrado Cagli (1936) and the Battle of the Admiral’s Bridge Renato Guttuso (1951-1952 ).
In the room preceding the battles are exhibited, put beside, the famous men by Andrea del Castagno and portraits of other famous men.
