The Center for Legal Studies: providing law degrees since 1980

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 29, 2010 --

The Center for Legal Studies began partnering with colleges and universities across the country in 1980 to offer courses for continuing education in legal studies. They currently offer Paralegal, Legal Nurse Consultant, Legal Secretary and many other programs through more than 100 institutions nationwide. Students are able to choose any one of the many prestigious schools that are partnered with the center. Upon completion, certificates are issued from the students school of choice to market themselves toward gainful employment. The purpose of these courses is to provide a quick, effective and affordable method of entering a new career field. The mission of The Center for Legal Studies has never been more relevant than it is today. With unemployment numbers across the nation continuing to rise, it is critical that workers in transition gain the skills they need to secure employment in new fields with documented growth patterns. The US Department of Labor reports that the Paralegal Profession will rise 28% by the year 2018.

Departments of Workforce Development provide funding for a wide range of programs and resources for job seekers. Many of the courses provided by The Center for Legal Studies fall under their guidelines for job training and are eligible for financial assistance. Interested students should check with their local workforce office. Visit http://www.legalstudies.com

Programs can be completed in as short as 6 weeks for a Paralegal Certificate for as little as $1089 plus books. This is a dramatic difference when compared to an Associate or Bachelor degree program that can take between 2-5 years to complete and cost anywhere from $3,000 to $50,000. The time and expense involved is not a viable option for individuals who need to get work now. Students interested in gaining more information about the programs offered by The Center for Legal Studies can visit their website www.legalstudies.com or call 1-800-522-7737.

"With millions of Americans either looking for work or looking to improve their skills and get a better job, our workforce development system will be vital to America's economic recovery," says Rep. Brett Guthrie, an influential member of the Higher Education, Lifelong Learning, and Competitiveness Subcommittee.
