The Charleston International Festival of Choirs is honored to announce the 2010 Massed Sing Concert Performance directed by Dr. André J. Thomas
Concerts are located at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, and Citadel Square Baptist Church, both in Charleston, South Carolina. Concerts are free and open to the public.

The Charleston International Festival of Choirs, in conjunction with Music Contact International, announces the date for the 2010 Massed Sing Festival Concert directed by Dr. André J. Thomas. The concert will be presented at Citadel Square Baptist Church with choirs from across North America and Germany on Saturday, April 24 at 7:00 pm.
This April will mark the second year of the Charleston International Festival of Choirs. This year’s guest choruses will be arriving in the area on April 22, 2010 from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Germany and Ontario, Canada to share their music with Charleston residents and visitors.
The festival begins with an Opening Ceremony for participants at the Francis Marion Hotel on Thursday April 22nd. Participating choirs have the opportunity to attend 6 hours of rehearsals in preparation for the Massed Sing Concert led by Dr. André Thomas. In addition, attendees will be sharing their gift of song in performances at St. Matthews Lutheran Church during a concert series on Saturday afternoon and at Senior Citizen Centers throughout the area along with performances at local schools on Friday morning. On Sunday morning the ten guest choirs will attend local churches to provide the Sunday Morning Music.
The Festival culminates on Saturday evening, April 24, 2010 with the extraordinary Massed Sing Concert of 400 voices at Citadel Square Baptist Church in downtown Charleston.

The event is going to be an incredible musical weekend for Charleston!
The Massed Sing Concert at Citadel Square and the Concert Series at St. Matthews on Saturday, April 24, 2010 are open and free to the public. Donations will be accepted.
