February 10, 2010

Its's nice to hear a sucess story in the Printing Industry at present. Print Buying Direct have been busy investing and preparing for the future as the UKs Leading Online print Provider

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 10, 2010 --The customer experience just gets better and better at Print Buying Direct. The company's goal of having all print and finishing processes in-house to keep control of workflow and costs is paying dividends and has enable yet more investment to take place over the last few weeks.

Customers from Bristol to Edinburgh are getting an even better service from Print Buying Direct (the online brand of The Printing House Ltd) following the company’s acquisition of an Autobond laminator - a serious piece of print finishing kit that keeps control of the finished product in-house.

The Cheshire printers, well-known in the UK for their competitive pricing and meticulous attention to customer service, made the £60,000 investment as part of a long-term strategic expansion plan aimed at creating an even better client experience. “People know that they can come to us for anything from business card to brochure printing and newsletters to pull-up banners - and our turnround time are pretty impressive”, said Joint Managing Director Paul Springthorpe.

“But we wanted to do even better for our customers, become even more competitive and wanting to achieve THAT aim almost always involves asking three questions – can we save our customer money, can we save them time and can we improve quality?”

Buying a laminator from one of the best known print technology names in the business has meant that The Printing House can not only answer ‘Yes’ to all three questions – it can also help to reduce its carbon footprint.

Bringing lamination in-house for both gloss and matt applications means that print delivery times can be cut by a day or more and the reduction in transport costs means a greener and more cost-effective solution all the way round.

“Many years ago we were one of the first regional printers to create our own design studio in-house and we made sure that we employed highly-experienced and creative graphic artists so that our design-and-print customers did not just get a faster service but a premium faster service”, said Paul.

“That same philosophy drove the decision on the Autobond laminator. If we can offer a service in-house then we can fine tune delivery times as well as quality control.

“It is not that our laminators were giving us a poor service, but the fact is that as soon as print leaves the building it leaves our control. We are always asking ourselves how we can improve the service and the answer in this case was to ignore the recession and invest in our customers”, Paul added.

Print Buying Direct have also invested in a new Mimaki Large Format Print machine, which is capable of printing up to 1300mm wide by as long as you need. "This has helped us enter a whole new marketplace" Peter Harrison, Joint Managing Director was quoted as saying.

"Since we had our Mimaki installed in early January 2010 it has not stopped, we're currently forecasting that we'll need an additional machine within 3 months to keep up with demand."

But Print Buying Direct didn't stop there - the latest investment which has only gone live in early February is a new website 'backend' which makes the purchasing process much easier for online print customers. But will also allow for the company to build websites for their customers which incorporates this functionality. Visit Print Buying Direct to see the improvements.

The new services will be of particular interest to customers of Print Buying Direct - one of the specialist websites operated by The Printing House – where rapid turnround on A1 Poster Printing, A0 Posters, flyers, Leaflet Printing and other durable print items is the order of the day.
