The Family Giving Tree Charity Event

Bingham Farms, Michigan, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) December 13, 2011 -- They will be having their annual ugly Christmas sweater party this Friday, November 16, 2011. It will be mandatory to wear an ugly christmas sweater, and in order to do so, you must donate $5.00. All proceeds will be donated to the Family Giving Tree. There will also be games and an auction taking place in order to raise more money for the children as well.

Turner Enterprises, Inc. has set a goal to raise $500 this year, that will be enough to brighten over 20 children's Christmas' this year.

The Family Giving Tree began in 1990 in California. After 20 years of the program's existence, the total number of gifts and backpacks donated had grown to over 700,000, making the Family Giving Tree the largest gift and backpack donation program in California.

Turner Enterprises, Inc. works with a different charity every month. The owner, Darrell Turner said, "We feel like we need to give back just as much as we receive from our community, so I feel like it's a constant positive circle going back and forth."
