Through September 15, old dog lovers can purchase from Grey Muzzle's online bookstore and specify a custom inscription hand-written by the author. Proceeds benefit programs for at-risk senior dogs.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 31, 2010 --
The Grey Muzzle Organization has enlisted the assistance of six favorite authors from their bookstore to head up the group’s first Virtual Book Signing. From August 30 through September 15, Grey Muzzle supporters and site shoppers can purchase from the online bookstore and specify a custom inscription hand-written by the author.
Grey Muzzle is dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk senior dogs. The work is supported in part through book sales in their online store. This signing presents a unique opportunity to give a personalized one-of-a-kind gift or to add an author-inscribed volume to a personal library. The event is timed to assure that books will be delivered in plenty of time for holiday gifting.
Six popular titles are included in the signing event: The Shelter Dog, For Every Dog an Angel and The Old Dog and the Christmas Wish by Christine Davis; Do Old Dogs Dream? by Harold Creel; Rescue Matters! by Sheila Webster Boneham; First Light: Animal Voices in Concert by Ardeth de Vries; Imagine Life with a Well-Behaved Dog by Julie A. Bjelland and Old Friends: Great Dogs on the Good Life by Mark J. Asher.
Author Christine Davis who is represented with three titles in the signing recognizes the value of these elders, “When I hold a grey muzzle in my hands and look into those soulful eyes, I know I’m getting a glimpse of heaven! It’s a privilege to help the Grey Muzzle Organization bring comfort and peace…and some warm cozy beds…to older dogs in need.”
To order unique copies of these books and to help old dogs, visit the online store on the Grey Muzzle website (www.greymuzzle.org). At the time of purchase, space will be provided for a custom inscription to be requested. Following inscription by the authors, books will be mailed to the purchaser.
The participating authors have been extraordinarily generous in their support of Grey Muzzle through their work, their time and their willingness to help old dogs. Julie Nowicki, President of Grey Muzzle commended their efforts, ”Grey Muzzle has just completed its second year of operation and reached a milestone of over $100,000 in funding to help senior dogs in shelters, rescue programs and other animal welfare organizations nationwide. The authors who have agreed to participate in this event are a great example of the enthusiasm and support we’ve received from old dog lovers all over the country, which has made this success possible.”
