The celebrity guests include Valerie Bertinelli, Nia Long, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Jennifer Lewis and other notable talent.

The Cinderella Ball is a black tie affair that rewards girls in foster care for achieving educational excellence and graduating from high school. This unique Ball gives young ladies the opportunity to showcase their beauty through the performing and fine arts. Every Cinderella story deserves a happy ending. This exciting evening makes them feel special and allows them to be Cinderella for the day. This is the HerShe way of encouraging the girls to believe dreams do come true.

HerShe Group’s current participating partners include: Simon Strauss Foundation, The Links, Inc. – Los Angeles Chapter, Marlborough Student Charitable Fund, Wings of Refuge, Lionsgate Films, Tyler Perry as well as other celebrity and individual donors.

The HerShe Group Foundation began in 2005 with the mission of one woman, Founder and CEO Kenadie Cobbin Richardson to reverse the unfortunate statistics tied to transitional age foster youth and change the lives of young women bound for success. Richardson saw youth living lives without a home from broken families dealing with drug-addicted or abusive parents. With such emotional scars, facing life after 18 seems all too difficult. This is where the HerShe Foundation steps in and creates that possibility for young women to see the essence of discovering themselves and celebrating the beauty of life. HerShe has developed the Cinderella Ball to reflect the transformation of each of the girls since their entrance into the program. All HerShe girls graduate from high school and 70% enroll in a 2- or 4-year college. These girls have evolved into stronger, beautiful young women ready to overcome future challenges and embark on their great journey towards a brighter tomorrow.
