THE HOLIDAY PARTY: Tales of a Corporate Takeover (Two Harbors Press, ISBN 978-1-937293-32-1, November 11th, 2011, $15.95) is about secrets and lies in the corporate world. It is about what happens when big businesses take over the little guy, and loyalty takes on a new meaning. When an ethical family business, a magazine, is purchased by a media conglomerate, a deeply personal business becomes all business and greed. The Holiday Party is a reflection on what is happening in corporate America as small businesses are increasingly absorbed by national corporations. The original employees of the magazine plot against the takeover corporation, and vice versa, until there are disastrous results for all parties. It all starts, however, in The Holiday Party.
Author biography: Richard Wanderer is a member of the California Bar. He has worked for decades in the advertising departments of major magazines and newspaper publishing companies. Mr. Wanderer and his wife live in California. They have two grown daughters and a son-in-law.
