Veteran Producer Robert Amico is currently putting his team together, developing his first indie feature made through his production company, RFA Productions. The first film to be shot in the slate is the horror feature "THE CURSE OF JOHNNY BISHOP" penned by Robert and directed by veteran director Joel Bender ("Karla", "The Cursed"). Line Producing is Hank Grover ("Dinocroc", "Big Monster On Campus") and Associate Producing is Judea Cavoto. A star cast is currently being negotiated. The film is slated for an August 2010 start date in and around the Los Angeles area.
"THE CURSE OF JOHNNY BISHOP" is the story of a gas station owner who is murdered in a small California town in 1960, and returns 50 years to the day to avenge his and his young son's death.
Other projects in development at RFA Productions penned by Robert Amico include the heartfelt drama "FOR MILES LEFT" (the story of a spiritually enlightened dying boy) which was a Semi Finalist in the Fade In/ Writers Network Screenplay Competition and "ROBIN IN THE HOOD", a modern, set in LA, all black cast version of the classic novel "Robin Hood".
