FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 24, 2011 --

Ted Burns only has one day left to catch Santa, who has recently acquired the not entirely flattering appellation of the Christmas Crackpot. Put simply, the clock is ticking like Ted’s a contestant on an apocalyptic version of the mildly popular polymath gameshow Countdown. And given that old Saint Nick isn’t afraid of neglecting reindeer, running up massive unpaid parking fines or using elves as surrogates for faulty athletic equipment, you can be pretty sure it’s going to need a mean selection of vowels and consonants to take him down. Worse still, at the moment the numbers don’t seem to be adding up. Ted is, in short, facing a real conundrum.

If all this wasn’t bad enough, Robin, his faithful if unhelpful assistant, is spending more time thinking about picking up his Christmas shopping at the Debenhams sale than finding the Suet Swindler before it’s too late. (FYI: there’s 50% off on all raffia products. A real bargain.) And Inspector Gorse, head of Old Scotland Yard’s Santa manhunt team, has been forced into choosing between facing the fury of his ancient aunt and leaving the world at the mercy of Father Christmas. Meaning things seem about as promising for Ted as they do for a particularly plump-looking turkey with a death wish. But can Ted work out how to catch Santa alone? Find out here:

About Keen City

Keen City’s name is derived from a verse in the poem The Moon’s A Balloon by E.E. Cummings, which talks about a place full of pretty people, where everyone is in love and flowers pick themselves. The company is, however, based in London, which falls short of this description in at least a couple of ways. Possibly more. Especially when you’re on the Tube. Nasty business.

The company’s first short film, Alleyman, won the British Lion Award for Achievement at the British Independent Film Awards, 2011, and received an honourable mention at this year’s Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. Another short, Darkest Before Dawn, premiered at the Cannes Short Film Corner in May 2011. A project of similar length, The Tyrant’s Cup, is currently in post-production, and Keen City’s first feature film, The Cult, is currently at the financing stage. The Keen City team is also working on a number of exciting television projects. Stay tuned.
