The King's Academy Spreads Holiday Cheer, 'Tis The Season For Private Schools Palm Beach To Give Back

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 2, 2009 -- This holiday season, The King’s Academy high schools students will be serving the community. Michelle Kolar, Director of Student Life, leads this project.

The King’s Academy is partnering with Urban Youth Impact during the month of December and will be collecting new and unwrapped toys for inner-city families living in the West Palm Beach area. This toy drive will take place from November 30th to December 15th. The students will be taking a bus from TKA’s campus on December 18th and 19th to aid in the final stages of this project.

Hundreds of high school students will be involved in these trips on Friday (18th) and Saturday (19th) and other students will contribute gifts as well.

“TKA believes that one of the best ways that it can honor the birth of Christ is by following His example of helping those in need. Students lives are impacted greatly when they can see a need in their community and can do some thing about it,” said Kolar. Last year, TKA students contributed more than 20,000 hours of volunteer community service in Palm Beach County.
