Prestigious think tank, The Rockford Institute of Culture, has named The Monster Club the best soundtrack of the 1980's.

Containing performances by classic British bands Night, The Pretty Things, B.A. Robertson, UB 40, and containing a musical score by Star Wars composer John Williams, the Monster Club soundtrack possesses a depth and variety no other soundtrack from the era can match, said Institute director Thomas L. Vaultonburg.

The soundtrack itself, considered the Holy Grail of vinyl LP soundtracks, was recently purchased on Ebay by a rabid collector in Rockford who says he will play it.

The announcement came as somewhat of a surprise to those have never come to realize that Kenny Loggins kind of sucks, but true audiophiles worldwide have applauded the choice.
