The Naked Wrestling Librarian!

What does a library assistant, professional wrestler and a nude butler all have in common? They are all jobs worked by one man. He tells it all to Tiffany Harris.

Russell age 28, from Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands, started off his career in accounting, which he says “bored him to tears”, then worked in debt counselling before deciding to become a professional wrestler, where he lived and trained for 2 years as a wrestler at the Ultimate Pro Wrestling academy in California for 2 years. The academy that trained current WWE stars John Cena, The Miz and many other well know current and former talents.

After returning to the UK In 2009 he continued wrestling but found that he didn’t earn enough from wrestling alone, so he did the one thing that all pro wrestlers do when they need to earn extra money – he became a library assistant (working for Warwickshire County Council). “It’s definitely a little bit strange to see a 16 stone (224lb) guy with a Mohawk working in a library” he says “but deep down I am a little bit geeky and it suits that side of my personality.”

However working full time at the library and wrestling on weekends meant that his training in the gym was suffering. He trains almost 2 hours every day to maintain his hunky physique and found he just didn’t have the time with work and wrestling. “So I needed to find another job that paid well but meant I could cut down my hours at the Libraries,” he explained.

After watching “Take me out” a dating programme where he saw a buff butler, he thought “I could do that, I was in excellent shape from wrestling and was already used to parading myself around half naked in front of a crowd so I thought how hard can it be?”

As a butler, Russell wears only a bottom revealing apron, collars, cuffs and a bow-tie. He works for Buff Naked Butlers, he said “the pay is great and the hours are short which meant I got to cut my hours down at the library, I still wrestle at weekends and have big plans in that area. Each job is very different but I love all 3 as each one reflects a little bit of my personality.”

Girls at the buff butler’s parties rarely believe that he works in a library in the day, “they think I’m lying and that I am probably a builder or something!” he laughs.
