The NonProfit Times Launches Social Media Campaign

11 March, 2011—Morris Plains, NJ—The NonProfit Times, the leading publication for the nonprofit sector for over 20 years, has recently launched two new additions to its social media campaign. These additions are designed to help those looking to break into the nonprofit sector. The first addition is a Twitter account which can be found by following @nptjobs. The purpose of this account is to instantly let those interested in nonprofit careers be aware of the latest job postings on Nonprofit Job Seeker, another recent addition to The Nonprofit Times’ website. Soon after a new job is posted to that site, those following @nptjobs will immediately get a notification of the job title and a link to where they can apply. This will make it unnecessary for users to have to constantly refresh Nonprofit Job Seeker to see when a new job is posted.

The second edition also helps job seekers, but in a very different way. It is a blog called Nonprofit Jobs. Every weekday, the blog is updated with a new article that is designed to give nonprofit hopefuls tips on how to maximize their job search efforts. Already, articles have been posted on how to make the best resume for a nonprofit organization, how to manage your social media presence, and tips for college graduates on how to break into the nonprofit sector. As the blog grows in popularity, there are plans to allow readers to submit their own tips based on their own experiences in applying for nonprofit jobs.
