According to burying condition of ore deposit, it can divided exploiting methods into three types:

1) Open-pit mining. The ore deposit is buried shallowly or even revealed to the air. The ore deposit is huge which needs bigger productivity to exploit. Strip mining only needs to remove the upper soil and two sets of wall rock of ore body for exploiting without mass sinking and driving engineering. Meanwhile, strip mining has convenient exploiting condition, high-degree safety, unlimited working space and creates good condition for adoption of large-scale mechanical equipments and mechanical work. It also has the following advantages: high-degree exploiting intensity, high productivity and good economic effectiveness.

2) Underground Mining

It is suitable for the small ore body which is buried deeply. It contacts ore body by excavating huge sinking and driving engineering and exploits useful ores through a specific process. Due to narrow working space, it would has a lot problems: hardly work by large-scale mechanical equipments, limited productivity, terrible working environment demanding the system of ventilation and draining, low productivity and huge damage and dilution.

3) Other methods. As for those ore deposits of special preserving condition such as placer deposit, ocean ore deposit and so on, hydraulic mining, it can adopt water conservancy mining, dredge mining, ocean mining or chemical mining and so on.
