Thirsty McGurk Releases Debut Mix Tape Album: A nightmare on Your Street Vol. 1

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 8, 2009 -- Recording artist Thirsty McGurk has released his debut mixtape, A Nightmare on your Street vol. 1, on the independent label, The Bloq Association Music Group. The mixtape features guest appearances from recording artists and label mates H. Dinero, Zer01 and Lerix.

Thirsty McGurk has been recording and performing music for years , collaborating with underground artists from New York City and Canada. He later decided to join forces with long time friends and artists to form their own independent label, The Bloq Association Music Group. His mixtape album, A Nightmare on your street Vol 1, will be the first release under The Bloq Association Music Group. The album contains many original tracks along with remixes to many popular hip hop, and pop songs. The entire project was recorded at “Rotten Apple” recording studio, which is owned by the Team. Music production was made in house with Zer01 and H. Dinero serving as executive producers on the project.

A Nightmare on Your Street Vol. 1, offers a wide variety of sound and styles, spanning from the organic and jazz filled song “Tear it Down” to the futuristic track ”Flip That.” McGurk has already begun to gain significant buzz in the underground scene with his MySpace views, fans and plays in the thousands and two recent song features on the hip hop website KevinNottingham.com. Performances have already been lined-up with local artists in the New York City area for later this summer and currently, McGurk is in negotiations with up and coming directors eager to work on his debut music video. With the momentum already in his favor, it is only a matter of time for Thirsty McGurk to make his presence felt not only in the hip hop scene but in the music arena period.
