Soap opera fans don’t miss this opportunity to meet some of the hottest men on daytime television! IBG is proud to announce that actor, artist and author Thom Bierdz (“The Young and The Restless”) has joined the panel of the Men of Daytime Television event featuring a moderated Q&A and autograph session on February 20 in Beverly Hills, California. In addition, Thom is generously donating a signed copy of his gripping memoir “Forgiving Troy”, as well as one of his paintings for silent auction at the event.
Thom Bierdz is an actor, artist, and author who first appeared on "The Young and The Restless" as Phillip Chancellor III in the mid-1980s. Though his character was killed off in a drunk driving accident three years after Bierdz' arrival on the show, he returned in May 2009 in a surprising twist. Phillip was not dead after all, but he had left town because he was felt he would not be accepted for who he truly was: a gay man. Bierdz works throughout the year to support many charities through his fandom and his art.
Visit IBG Inc.’s website (http://www.ibginc.org) for up-to-the-minute news on participating panelists as they sign on and information on how to purchase tickets for this unique event. Proceeds from the Men of Daytime Television event will be going to the PKD Foundation. The PKD Foundation raises money for the research, education, advocacy, and awareness for polycystic kidney disease, which affects over twelve million adults and children. Polycystic kidney disease is a genetic disorder that causes rapid kidney failure, often resulting in the need for transplant surgery.
The event is hosted by IBG Inc. In 2008, IBG established an official non-profit campaign focusing on utilizing the power of philanthropy through the arts to benefit a wide range of charities worldwide. IBG acts as a "fundraiser facilitator" for underfunded and start-up charities that would otherwise struggle with the logistics and costs associated with event fundraising.
