Three private car collections highlight of Toronto event

September 24, 2010

Three private Canadian classic car collections will be offered for bids for the first time at the country's largest collector car auction event - Oct. 22-24

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) September 24, 2010 -- TORONTO, Ontario – September 24, 2010 – An unprecedented sale of three private car collections will take place at the Toronto Classic Car Auction scheduled for October 22, 23, 24 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.

‘For individual sellers, or estate trustees, auctions are the most efficient way to sell a large private collection, or a significant collector vehicle”, says founder Dan Spendick. “Choosing an experienced auction house that specializes in the sale and handling of these type of cars is extremely important for buyers, as well as for sellers”, adds Spendick.

This event will include the highly anticipated sale of a treasured and rarely-seen car collection from the estate of the late Frank Vasco. This relatively unknown collection of investment quality prewar and postwar vehicles represents an unprecedented buying opportunity for astute collectors. Mr. Vasco was an avid car enthusiast and popular Welland, Ontario pharmacist whose meticulous attention to detail is evident in the quality of the restorations and variety of vehicles. Highlighting this impressive first-time sale is an ultra-rare 1936 Ford V8 Cabriolet, a first year 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible, a handsome 1959 Jaguar XK150S Roadster, a magnificently restored 1947 Buick Super Convertible and other significant examples.

The second private collection offered includes an extremely rare and restored 1912 Ford Model T Speedster in addition to an outstanding group of iconic American and European-built collector cars. Also joining this year’s lineup is a third private collection from Southern Ontario featuring several Detroit-built muscle cars, classic pickup trucks and several nostalgic Volkswagen Beetles.

Hosted by industry veteran Dan Spendick’s Collector Car Productions, the Toronto Classic Car Auction is the largest event of its kind in Canada offering nearly a century of historic and special interest classics with over 100 vehicles to be sold “without reserve”.

Additional information regarding these collections, photos and event details can be found on the company’s website at: www.ccpauctions.com
