Tiger Woods Lawyer advises him NOT to date while going through the divorce process.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) June 5, 2010 --
According to Us Weekly, Tiger is on quite the diet. His lawyers have ordered the golf star and father of two to forgo any female companionship while he is still in the process of settling his divorce from Elin Nordegren. In other words, no dating. Apparently, they are weary of giving Elin’s attorney any more ammunition in terms of painting an ill picture of Tiger’s character, when it comes to issues around the children.
Considering the extent to which he…uh…feasted…it’s hard to pity the man in his forced celibacy. But is his lawyer’s caution justified?
I mean, how much more ammunition would Elin possibly need to prove that he’s a serial philanderer? None. They’ve got that part locked up. The part that I wonder about is, how does that make him a bad father? I know, I know. It made him a terrible husband. But does it necessarily mean he’s a lousy dad? That’s the thing I can’t decide.
On the one hand, a person who has tended toward such an extreme degree of dishonesty and who was willing to shed any semblance of honoring his commitment to his wife is of questionable character. But I can think of so many other attributes that people have that make me question their character, from holding extreme political views to being prejudiced, or sexist, or both. But some of those people, whose views I abhor, are still very good parents. And some of the men I know who have never and probably would never cheat are nonetheless lousy dads.
