Tim Nealon Photography Blog breaks 500,000 views

Tim has been photographing Savannah for a few years. He has always put his pictures of Savannah onto his blog, but it wasn't until he started posting his photographs of Savannah that his blog really took off. "I try to put up a new photograph from Savannah every day." says Tim Nealon. "It is hard to come up with something that I think people will find interesting each and every day. Fortunately people really love seeing photographs of Savannah."

The topic of Tim Nealon's Savannah Photography blog read like a map of Savannah. Many of the most famous places, historic landmarks and statues in Savannah have been photographed by Tim. "Of course I spend time photographing the more famous places in Savannah, but lately I have changing my focus a bit to showcase the little things that make Savannah special. Of course I still photograph the historic places in Savannah because that is what most visitor's to my website want to see."

When asked what his most popular photograph of Savannah is he replied "Well, I would have to say that the photograph that brought the most traffic to my website was an HDR photograph I took of Broughton Street, standing right on the yellow line shooting into the setting sun. When I took that particular photograph I never imagined that it would be as popular as it was. The day I published it to my blog I have over 7,000 visitors to my website that day alone. It was a little crazy." But Tim acknowledges that this is a regular occurrence. "You know, I am always surprised by the photographs that people fall in love with. As a photographer here in Savannah I take a lot of photos that I think are great, but my audience doesn't always support my believe. I mean, I really think people are going to love this photo, and then they don't. Then I will put out a photo I may not be entirely thrilled with, a good photograph of Savannah none-the-less, and people are coming to my website in droves to see it! It is always a learning experience."

Tim uses a style of photography called High Dynamic Range Photography to photograph Savannah. Also known as HDR photography, it is a special technique which can be learned by anyone but is difficult to truly master. He blends multiple photographs, taken at different exposure levels, to make a complete picture of the scene. "HDR photography allows me to capture Savannah as my eyes see it. That is why I photograph using HDR soo much."
