TMHE Release Free Forklift Truck Driving Game – Experience Toyota SAS in Action

Toyota Material Handling Europe launches a mobile game featuring the benefits of Toyota SAS to raise awareness about safety and the cost of damages in material handling

Drive your way through the mobile forklift truck driving game ‘Forklift Challenge’ and learn about the benefits of the Toyota System of Active Stability (Toyota SAS)

Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) today launches ‘Forklift Challenge’ – TMHE´s first external mobile application in the material handling industry, specially created to raise awareness about the capabilities of the Toyota System of Active Stability (Toyota SAS).

This forklift game allows you to take the driver’s seat and experience the type of work that takes place in material handling – as well as the costs incurred by unsafe material handling. Players have to take advantage of the special Toyota SAS features in order to reduce the risk of accidents and optimise productivity (in real life, Toyota SAS functions are always active and work in combination to protect drivers, trucks and goods – which is how Toyota forklift trucks enhanced with SAS help customers to drive down costs).

The goal for players in ‘Forklift Challenge’ is to achieve maximum productivity while performing material handling tasks, all in a race against time. On each lap, there are several locations where the player’s forklift has to safely pick up and drop off cargo – and Toyota SAS features have to be activated to prevent accidents or load loss. Get it wrong, and drivers may incur additional damage costs – or even be forced to take a penalty lap, losing productivity. This forklift truck game has been developed to make maximum use of the gyro in mobile devices, so that players can have a realistic and intuitive forklift driving experience.

TMHE’s forklift driving game is available in several languages (English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, and Portuguese). The mobile version of the game is available for free via iTunes for iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4. It is also available on the Android Market and requires Android 2.1.
