FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 29, 2009 --
Gerdi Swanepoel, Director of Public Relations quotes: "ATA's" vision of "Bringing the world to Africa and Africa to the world" coincides with our own and in particular to that of The Roving Ambassador, Andrew Shapland.
The Africa Travel Association (ATA) was established as an international travel industry trade association in 1975 to promote travel, tourism and transport to and within Africa, and to strengthen intra-Africa partnerships. It is the oldest of its kind dating back some 35 years.
As the world’s premier travel industry trade association promoting tourism to Africa, ATA provides services to a broad range of members including: tourism, diaspora, culture, and sports ministers, tourism boards, airlines, hoteliers, travel agents, tour operators, travel trade media, public relations firms, consulting companies, non-profit organizations, businesses, small and medium-sized enterprises, and other organizations engaged in tourism promotion.
While ATA is a global association, it is registered as a 501(c)6 non-profit trade association in the U.S., with its headquarters in New York. ATA is overseen by an International Board of Directors. ATA’s daily operations are run by an Executive Director and a management team, working closely with government, chapter and board representatives worldwide.
Gerdi Swanepoel further quotes "ATA means Business" and that is exactly what Tourism Corporation Africa has successfully achieved over 16 years of operation and 2010 will be our 16th Birthday. Having been a member of "SATSA" for 5 years and remaining so, of APTA for 1 year and remaining so,we feel the final "key to the door" is "Africa Travel Association", which is diverse, reflective of this entire continent and its people."
2010 for Tourism Corporation Africa, will be a year of establishing exceptionally close ties with the Travel Trade, supporting old and new and taking the Tourism Corporation Africa brand and that of The Roving Ambassador across the African Contienent from the Cape to Marrakech.
"TCA will continue to increase the occupancy levels within those products it affiliates to by a minimum of 15%" quotes Andrew Shapland, The Roving Ambassador. The company is known for turning businesses in a favorable and profitable direction which benefits: Owner, Employees, the communities and ultimately the national economy, within the country concerned.
