Traceable organic kids clothing debuts with Nordstrom and Von Maur in May
Minneapolis, MN, April 6, 2010 — m.o.o., a new line of 100% cotton organic clothing for kids, is pleased to announce partnerships with premier retailers Nordstrom and Von Maur, where the niche line will debut May 10, 2010. m.o.o., short for making organic outstanding, will also be found in select boutiques and on www.nordstrom.com and www.mookidsclothing.com.
The m.o.o. line of fashionable playwear features bright, organic cotton styles embellished with signature bold appliqué designs and accessorized with playful finger puppets. Each garment is finished with the m.o.o. signature stitch, illustrating the products’ superior detailing and quality. Uniquely chic and animated, this new kids’ line is 100% organic cotton and produced using water-based dyes, making each garment a healthy choice for people and the planet. Because product authenticity is critical for identifying true organic garments, m.o.o. embeds each piece with an ID number that gives the consumer the unique opportunity to trace the garment’s life, from field to final finished product.
“We are thrilled to launch the m.o.o kids line with two of the world’s premier retailers, Nordstrom and Von Maur,” said Justin Barrett, m.o.o. founder and CEO. “Our fashionable playwear is designed to make an impact with vibrant colors and distinctive appliqué embroidery detailing. Our goal is making organic outstanding through bold color contrasts, quality construction, and attention to the smallest detail.”
“We define the line as fashionable playwear for kids,” adds Sandy Swan, m.o.o.’s vice president of product development and the line’s main designer. “What we are finding is that parents want great fashionable styles that are also comfortable and easy to wear and manage. We have designed that insight into all of our styles.” The line includes 100% organic cotton tees, hoodies, pants and skirts in styles for girls and boys from six months to 4T.
A distinctive feature of the m.o.o. line is a nine-digit tracking code on the flip side of the m.o.o. label. The code allows the consumer to trace the production of the garment via a tracking feature on the m.o.o. website (www.mookidsclothing.com). The garment’s life is illustrated along the supply chain, and actual pictures from the cotton source help illustrate the product’s organic authenticity and unique production methods.
