The Tradeshow Network Marketing Group gets rolls of custom exhibit carpeting returned to them after trade show events, so much so that after a while, it becomes an issue. Other organizations in the industry have put together reusable programs but the problem is you have to maintain a large inventory of carpet before it can be picked up by a reusable group. “In continuing in the spirit of giving back to the community initiative I started at the beginning of the year, I contacted several charitable organizations that could possibly use this carpet and we got lucky” says Karin Roberts, Director of Marketing for The Tradeshow Network. Opening in Aurora, Illinois is an organization called ReStore whose mission is to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity by selling donated building materials to the public with the profits going directly to support their mission to build affordable housing in the area. The Tradeshow Network donated a pallet filled with various rolls of custom trade show carpet that were essentially new. This carpet will be reused by the public and help build affordable homes in the area. A win-win situation for everyone involved and a wonderful way to give back to the community you reside in.
