September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month and for the third year in a row TraillWorks will be “tealing” the town of Newton, NJ, as well as donating a percentage of sales to Turn The Towns Teal®, Inc. Jennie has been a supporter of Ovarian Cancer Awareness since the passing of her mom's friend, Barbara Salamy, several years ago, when she first learned of the disease. This year, Schaeffer invited all of her guest artists to give back with TraillWorks, and is pleased to announce that fourteen artists will be giving back with her.

Turn The Towns Teal®, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), which campaigns to promote awareness of ovarian cancer and its silent symptoms. Volunteers tie ribbons throughout town centers and hand out symptom cards during the month of September, National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. “Ovarian cancer is known as ‘The Silent Disease’ as the symptoms are often vague and subtle. Presently, there is NO early detection test. Today, AWARENESS of the symptoms is THE most critical factor in fighting ovarian cancer which is why this campaign is so very, very important,” remarked Jane MacNeil, President of Turn The Towns Teal.
Stop in to pick up symptom cards and learn about how you can become more aware. Special thanks goes to artist, MarieChristine Murphy, for “tealing” Newton.
