Training Provider Launches 2 Day First Aid at Work Refresher

January 07,2013

Train Aid Ltd has kick started 2013 by launching a new 2 day first aid refresher qualification.

Train Aid has revealed a new First Aid at Work Refresher qualification, which is set to be launched in February 2013. The course is two days in duration, and will be held monthly at the training HQ in Greenwich (London), accessible in just 10 minutes from the center of the capital. The new course is pitched at people who have already got the full 3 day first aid at work qualification, and who need to refresh their current certificate. This new options allows candidates to enrol on the shorter two day program, which updates their skills for a further three years.

The latest launch is a useful addition to the wide portfolio of courses that Train Aid has to offer. The course itself aims to condense the full first aid at work qualification down into two manageable days. The course is designed in a refresher format as it is assumed that candidates already possess advanced first aid skills. At the end of the course candidates receive a certificate which is approved by the HSE, and is valid for a period of three years.

The only prerequisite to signing up is that delegates have completed the full three day qualification and that their certificate has not expired by more than 28 days. If this is the case they can save themselves a full days training by enrolling. It looks like Train Aid has designed the course around the feedback from candidates. It is thought that the courses may not initially prove profitable, but more importantly they will help save people both time and money. A spokesman from the company (Steve Faber) was on hand to tell us a little bit more:

œThe introduction of this course makes sense as there is always a demand to condense training down into the shortest time frame possible. This is not because people are trying to avoid it, but more so that their time and ultimately money is very important.

Businesses are also able to benefit from the first aid at work refresher course. They can potentially save thousands of pounds by keeping up to date with staff training records. Quite often companies enroll their staff onto the full 3 day qualification only because they have allowed the current certificates to expire by more than 28 days. A stronger marketing campaign about the shorter qualification could prove beneficial to the UK business sector.
