Treating Herpes in HIV Coinfected People May Delay HIV Progression

The CBCD has learned that treatment of herpes simplex virus type 2 in patients coinfected with herpes and HIV-1 could postpone the progression of HIV.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Houston, Texas, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) January 9, 2012 -- The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) has learned that treatment of herpes simplex virus type 2 in patients coinfected with herpes and HIV-1 could postpone the progression of HIV. This is according to a report published in “The Lancet.”

Jairam R. Lingappa, MD, from University of Washington in Seattle, said “Most people infected with HIV-1 are dually infected with herpes simplex virus type 2.”

Adult and adolescent males accounted for three-quarters of people diagnosed with AIDS in 2009. (avert.org)

However, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), “Genital HSV-2 infection is more common in women (approximately one out of five women 14 to 49 years of age) than in men (about one out of nine men 14 to 49 years of age). Transmission from an infected male to his female partner is more likely than from an infected female to her male partner.”

Both HIV and Herpes can hide and lie dormant (sleep) within the cells they infect.

Scientists call dormant, sleeping viruses “latent.”

Dormant viruses and active viruses are not entirely the same. On its website, the FDA writes that, “Some viruses…can enter a state known as latency in which the virus is not being replicated. In the latent state, the virus does not cause disease.”

The fact of the matter however, is that dormant copies sometime “wake up” and then begin to attack the host. Anyone who has had a fever blister or cold sore experienced an awakening of the herpes virus (HSV-1). Such an awakening is called an oral herpes outbreak.

That is why the CBCD believes that more research into scientifically based, natural methods of combating dormant viruses is so important. Boosting the immune system in order to allow the body’s own defenses to tackle and eradicate dormant viruses before they become active (disease causing) could keep the body from developing an ailment.

The CBCD believes that Gene-Eden-VIR, developed by the biotechnology company polyDNA, might be an answer when it comes to fighting dormant viruses. Gene-Eden-VIR is a natural Herpes remedy that boosts the immune system against the army of sleeping (latent) Herpes viruses.

Most people may wonder whether Gene-Eden-VIR is an affordable, safe and effective Herpes remedy.

Gene-Eden-VIR is absolutely affordable. It is sold exclusively online through the gene-eden.com website. A bottle costs $34.99 and includes a month’s supply of Gene-Eden-VIR.

In regard to safety, according to polyDNA, in over a year of being on the market, there have been no reports of side effects associated with this Herpes remedy. In addition, each bottle is GMP certified, which means that the product is keeping good manufacturing practices as outlined by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

In terms of effectiveness against dormant Herpes viruses, Gene-Eden-VIR capsules contain a patented formula of five natural ingredients including Camellia Sinensis Extract, quercetin, licorice extract, cinnamomum extract, and selenium each at a uniquely selected dose. These ingredients were selected through a scientific method developed by Dr. Hanan Polansky. The method is based on electronic and manual analysis of thousands of scientific and medical papers published on the topic of research.

Many of these scientific papers can be found on pubmed.gov.

“The key to your health is to reduce the level of the chronic viruses in your body to harmless levels.”- Dr. Hanan Polansky

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD, http://www.cbcd.net) is a research center recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-for-profit organization. The mission of the CBCD is to advance the research on the biology of chronic diseases, and to accelerate the discovery of treatments for these diseases.

The CBCD published the “Purple” book by Dr. Hanan Polansky. The book presents Dr. Polansky’s highly acclaimed scientific theory on the relationship between the DNA of latent (chronic) viruses and the onset of chronic diseases. Dr. Polansky’s book is available as a free download from the CBCD website.
