Trend-Setting Rapper Menice

They haven’t lived anything yet,” says Menice, referring to how record companies produce music that has teens dancing around. Menice incorporates all of life’s experiences in his music, and considering he is not too young, he has much reality to offer within his music.

The rapper revealed that music was an outlet for him throughout his life. He talked about how serving in Iraq and being raised by his single mom contributed to him spending time on his music. Menice reminisced on Tupac’s music, which initially inspired him, and admitted that he wanted to create music that would be like the old hip hop, where the raps had meaning behind them.

After commenting on the fact that he was not there for the birth of his son, Menice talked about how he dedicate a song to his son as an apology. The song appears in his new album Life Behind Bars which has a single that is currently a chart topper on the Billboard Top 100.

When asked about his son, Menice replies, “He was in the mall with his mother, and he just kept saying the name of one of my singles ‘Menice Stay On My Hustle’. He and his sister are the best promoters.”
