UNet－ICE for ARM Based on High-speed Real-time JTAG Emulator

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 28, 2010 -- Toronto, Canada – GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has announced the release of its UNet-ICE for ARM which is a new-generation, high-speed real-time JTAG emulator. It connects to the host computer using a USB or an Ethernet port and connects to the ARM target board using a JTAG interface allowing for a downloading and debugging speed of up to 800kbps. It communicates with a LAN through its Ethernet port enabling sharing and remote debugging amongst a development team.

This UNet-ICE for ARM features reset and update buttons, an external power supply socket, a power switch and a red, green, yellow LED operational state indicator. It supports all ARM7 and ARM9 series kernel CPUs and flash programming and can run under Windows OS from 98 to XP. Two hardware breakpoints, two data breakpoints and unlimited software breakpoints are allowed depending on the ARM core. It allows developers to insert multiple breakpoints, download target programs, examine memory and registers and upgrade firmware via software. This portable emulator can run programs in single-step mode or in real-time.
