Valentine's 2010 sweet for participants at CURVENV Las Vegas Feb 15,16,17 2010

Las Vegas, NV- February 20, 2010 - Las Vegas' spectacular Venetian Hotel wrapped a three-day marathon of creativity and innovation in lingerie, men's underwear and swimwear design from across the US and around the world as CurvExpo 2010 rocked Las Vegas February 15, 16 and 17. Sales reports proved that there was no Valentine's Day love hangover this year – the romantic holiday that traditionally sees the biggest lingerie sales of the year was a significant 9% improvement over 2009, a sign that luxury shoppers have finally come out of hibernation. Men's underwear and lingerie especially rose in 2009.

The three-day event saw non-stop business being done, as big-gun buyers such as Nordstrom, Neiman-Marcus, Dillard's and QVC and new players from western and central US states fell over each other to place their orders. Men's underwear proved an especially popular draw this year, with buyers eager to stock product from Ck Calvin Klein, Diesel and Hanro, as well as new European lines. International buyers appeared in force, with the majority coming from Canada but also from the UK, Mexico and Japan. In all, 1923 qualified buyers shopped till they dropped during the whole 3 days. 180 brands were represented, 29 of them first-time exhibitors. Retailers were looking to build partnerships with brands to entice customers with better products and service.
When they were not writing orders, attendees flocked to seminars organized by CurvExpo, where vendors Rago, Eberjey and BedHead gave tips to retailers about approaching clients on the floor, and the booming maternity category saw presentations from New Zealand's Hotmilk and Canada's Bravado Design. When night fell, The CURVE “ community “ gathered at the CURVenvy Party February 16 at BLUSH Nigthclub .

Now the momentum heads east as the fifth annual CurvExpo NY at New York City's Javits Center is gearing up for a repeat blowout performance February 21, 22 and 23. 225 brands, of which 35 are new, will showcase their wares to hungry Eastern corridor buyers, a record number of whom will come from outside the tri-state area this year.
CurvExpo, founded in 2007 with a mission to bring intimate apparel, swimwear and beachwear out into the spotlight as a major player in fashion, is in its fourth year, and already is the undisputed leader the fashion world as the only major trade show of its kind in North America, with a thumbs-up from all the industry professionals stateside and internationally.
