Keeping traditions alive and sales rising at a local Oklahoma City Florist
Roses are in full bloom for Valentine's Day at both locations at Capitol Hill Florist & Gifts with orders coming in since January, the staff prepares for another successful holiday for the 81st year. The entire staff, friends and family help to make Valentine's Day run smoothly and get orders out for one of the biggest flower holidays of the year.
This Valentine's Day falls on a Thursday, giving florists and customers two more shopping and delivery days than last year. Sales for the holiday are trending up with more time to get orders in and deliveries out; this is looking to be another booming holiday for Capitol Hill Florist & Gifts.
œWe have 4 generations of family, ranging in ages 9-84, pitching in to help this week. They do everything from making bows, doing deliveries and sweeping up the shop. We do more deliveries in these 1-2 days than we do in an average month and have hired 12 extra delivery personnel to get all our deliveries out. Kent Whitnah, owner of Capitol Hill Florist and Gifts.
Local florist and flower wholesalers prepare for the rush of Valentine flowers every year, but even with the ever-changing Oklahoma weather, Capitol Hill Florist is prepared and ready with extra help and staff on hand.
