VANCOUVER LAND AND HOMEOWNERS HELD HOSTAGE BY BPA
VANCOUVER LAND AND HOMEOWNERS HELD HOSTAGE BY BPA
Public Community Meeting Thursday, December 8, 2011; media encouraged to attend too!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 1, 2011 --
Vancouver, WA - Citizens Against the Towers, Another Way BPA and The Yale Valley Coalition have all banded together against Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) on the inhumane tactics BPA are using in order to be successful on their mission of adding huge 15-story electrical towers and massive 500kv high voltage lines in populated areas, both rural and urban throughout Vancouver, WA.
Recently, the Bonneville Power Administration announced a delay in the target date for the DEIS; the new date is now Spring 2012, one full year past their original target date. The BPA continues to hold land and homeowners hostage while the hardships resulting from the proposed building of this line in populated areas continue to accrue.
“Our coalition has grown increasingly irate over BPA’s tactics, delays and misinformation. The meeting on December 8th will be an opportunity to once again state views and demand answers to questions about concerns,” said Fran Swenningson, Citizens Against the Towers.
A meeting has been scheduled and is open to both the public and media:
Public Community Meeting -Lewis River Community Center
912 East Main Street, Battleground, WA
