Popular Telugu film actor Varun Sandesh, in the news for throwing a party on his birthday where cocaine was available, says he had organised no such party on July 21 as he was busy promoting his film Brahmigadi Katha. The star feels his name was unnecessarily dragged into the drug scam. Though he does visit pubs for select parties, he has always led a disciplined life and never crossed limits. “I am ready for blood tests if necessary,” says the actor.

“I got a big hit after a gap and I am touring various places,” Varun says. He’s shocked at Nigerian national Frederick and Dr. Siddharth’s claims that they supplied cocaine to him few days ago. “I am shocked since Dr. Siddharth is a friend. I never bought any drugs from either of them. It’s a cheap publicity stunt,” he says.

Refuting the allegations, a close family friend of Varun adds, “There seems to be a plan to tarnish his image by making baseless claims. I have known him from childhood. Even the arrested person has been altering his version and soon these allegations will be dismissed. “Although Varun was brought up in USA, he is conservative at heart. In fact, he visited various TV channels on Friday night until 2 am to deny these cooked-up stories. Can any person with guilt face the media so confidently?” the source asks.

“Please don’t jump to conclusions since false reports could dent his budding career. Right now he is exhausting his energies in honing his dancing skills. He is also running short of time since he is leaving for Bangkok on Monday to shoot song sequences for his film Priyudu,” the source says.
