FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 13, 2009 --
Sanibel, FL: Nearly 800 family owned Veterans Choicesm funeral homes nationwide will be participating in the annual Veterans & Family Memorial Caresm “Operation Christmas Stockings for Soldiers”. Mark E. Davis, founder & CEO of Veterans & Family Memorial Care, announced today that those wanting to send a little piece of home and some Christmas cheer to our troops overseas may do so by picking up a FREE Christmas Stocking at any one of the participating VFMC Providers in 45 states and Guam.
Free Christmas Stockings will be given out to those stopping in at any one of the VFMC participating funeral homes to take home, decorate and stuff with Christmas goodies. The stuffed stockings are then returned to the funeral home to be shipped by them at their expense to our heroes in Iraq & Afghanistan.
VFMC Providers are also official drop off centers for “Cell Phones for Soldiers.” Collectively in the past 3 months alone they have collected over 4000 old cell phones that have translated into a quarter million (250,000) FREE calling time minutes for our brave men and women deployed overseas. Please drop off an old cell phone on your visit to the funeral home to pick up a FREE Christmas Stocking.
You may locate a VFMC Provider by visiting www.VeteransFuneralHomes.com and clicking on the Veterans Funeral Home Directory. ###
