Vision Goes Bowling for Veterans
Vision Goes Bowling for Veterans
Government Website Experts Donate to New Directions, Inc. this Holiday Season
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 11, 2012 --
Vision Internet’s Holiday Party was filled with a little extra cheer this year as employees raised over $1,000 for local veterans.
For more than ten years Vision Internet’s team has taken an afternoon off to go bowling before the annual holiday party. The party is punctuated by a final bowl-off for prizes and bragging rights. This year President Steve Chapin made it a little more interesting by announcing he would donate $2 for each point scored by the winning team.
The competition was fierce as each team executed their strategies of intimidation, distraction, and, in some cases, skill. When the chalk cleared, team “Lucky Strike” emerged as the official winner with 562 points and Vision Internet donated $1,124 to New Directions on behalf of the Vision team. According to Toni Reinis, New Directions Executive Director, the funds will be used towards clothing over 200 veterans in Los Angeles this year.
Since its inception Vision Internet has been active in supporting the community through donations, pro bono web development, and serving on the boards of various civic organizations.
