Sunday, Dec. 18th, 2pm Director John Rubino discusses the movie VODKA ROCKS!, a satirical comedy about branding and consumerism, and airs selections from the film’s soundtrack on East Village Radio.

Director John Rubino discusses the movie VODKA ROCKS!, its relation to the Occupy Wall Street movement, and releases selections from the film’s soundtrack on East Village Radio this Sunday, Dec. 18th, 2pm with Morricone Youth program host Devon Goldberg. Composer Michael Blake will contribute to the discussion his experience in scoring Vodka Rocks! and working with its talented musicians.
The Vodka Rocks! soundtrack, composed and arranged by Michael Blake, features performances by music luminaries such as Napoleon Maddox, producer Scotty Hard and jazz icon Steven Bernstein. This is the first time the soundtrack will air on radio.

Vodka Rocks! is a satirical comedy which tackles branding, subliminal advertising, consumerism, and mindless entertainment. Coined “actitainment” for its mix of activism and entertainment, Vodka Rocks! attempts to expand the scope of movie-going by including socializing and activism. Morricone Youth is a weekly music program which showcases film soundtracks and the musicians who create the music.
