Rick Bernstein, known as the “Voice of DC,” has signed on with the Mrs. DC America Headquarters as the official Announcer for the upcoming 2012 pageant in March.

The Mrs. DC America publicly recognizes beautiful married women, living and/or working within a 25-mile radius of Washington, DC, who have obtained personal, professional and community achievements. An official preliminary pageant to Mrs. America and Mrs. World, the Mrs. DC America welcomes women from all ethnic backgrounds to compete in a yearly pageant for the title of Mrs. DC America!

Rick Bernstein is a Washington, DC-based voice talent who has voiced an array of client projects within the industries of entertainment, education, and the federal government. Recent projects have included voicing a promotional spot for the American Military University, a safety training video for the Department of Homeland Security, and an orientation video for the iPhone application “Missile Wars.”
Rick takes pride in giving back to the Washington, DC community by lending his time and vocal talents to help bring audio education and assistance to those with visual and learning impairments. He can be heard as a narrator for the world-renowned Smithsonian Institution Accessibility Program’s Air and Space, Zoogoer, and Smithsonian magazines. Rick also narrates adult novels and children’s books, as well as biographical and historical texts for the non-profit organization Learning Ally (formerly recording for the Blind and Dyslexic). In addition, Rick is the Monday morning voice of the Metro section of the Washington Post for the Metropolitan Washington Ear program for the blind, visually impaired and physically disabled.
Rick, his wife, and their one-year-old son reside in the Washington, DC area.
