Both engines will displace only 1.6 liters, and will offer 150 horsepower for the T3 model, and 180 horsepower for the T4 model. Both engines use direct injection technology, and it is reported that the engines will consume 20 percent less fuel than engines that have comparable performance numbers. Volvo plans to start using the engines in the fall of 2010, beginning with the all new Volvo S60 and V60 models.
