It may be that most people wish they didn't have to vote for either a Democrat or Republican,, but feel they have to in order to keep the other party from winning the elections.

That candidate would only sabotage the election for Democrats, by taking votes from Obama, unless that candidate has an overwhelming lead in the polls a year from now.
