VueMinder 9.0 Adds Google Task Sync

St. Louis, MO - January 26, 2012 - VueSoft has announced the release of VueMinder Pro 9.0. This version adds many new features, such as the ability to sync tasks with Google Calendar. A new product, VueMinder Ultimate, has also been released. The Ultimate version expands on the features provided in the Pro version, allowing user-defined custom data fields, automatic syncing of contact, task, and note data over a local network, and much more.

The ability to sync tasks with Google Calendar was made possible by Google's recent publication of a Google Tasks API, something users have been clamoring for since Google Calendar was first introduced. When task syncing is enabled, tasks created in VueMinder will automatically appear in Google Calendar, and vice versa. Tasks can be edited or marked as completed in VueMinder, and those modifications will be reflected in Google Calendar. This works even when disconnected from the internet. VueMinder will intelligently sync all updates after an internet connection is restored.

Version 9.0 also improves reminders. An additional popup reminder can now be scheduled based on when an event ends or when a task is due. Previously, reminders were based only on when an event or task started, which is typical of most calendar applications. The additional reminder allows a single event to provide a follow-up reminder, without requiring the first reminder to be snoozed and the mental math of picking the correct snooze length. As it has done many times in the past, VueMinder broke the mold by adding a simple feature that is bound to make developers of other calendar programs slap their foreheads and ask, "Why didn't we think of that?"

The Ultimate version moves the VueMinder product line into a higher-end business market, catering to the demanding needs of professionals and power-users.
