The transition – How do you find true wealth?

I am now in Saint Paul’s Hospital in Hong Kong 7 Th August 2009 and reflecting far ago on the 5 Th August 2007 in Beijing Family United Hospital.

It seems so long ago, but it is really only a blink in the universe, only 2 years. I have come so far and yet gone nowhere in some ways.

When my accident happened I was in Beijing, China. I was cared for by a person I loved very much.

She looked after me, stayed beside me for 6 weeks while I was unconscious in a coma. She bathed me, fed me, cleaned up after me and showed pure love while she knew I was bad.

Yu love was real and my love unknown.

I am back again 2 years latter and what do I think I learnt or did I learn any thing at all

It is also 22 years to the day my father died. And I remember that day cleared than my accident day. My vision has cleared over the last 2 years but has my sight.

Do I still look but not see?

They measured me when I was admitted to hospital .I have grown taller and I have lost weight. My diagnosis 2 years ago was I was dead

I had liver cancer now it is clear –

I had kidney problems now they are clear.
My cholesterol is 40 % better than the “desirable” Pak Yin Yee
I was not thinking rationally now I feel very sharp
My logic is sound my reasoning good.
My arrogance still varies

These results wee given to me by a nurse
Their doctors are good and bad. Most do not listen they are, of course, doctors and I a mere person.

Do they think I may know better than them? My blood clots they cannot fix they are in a hurry I help and it is fixed.

How do I describe myself before?
Scared
Arrogant
Rude
Selfish

Materialistic
Lost touch with family and friends
Lack of direction
Hooked to substance abuse
Not aware of the world
Living in a cocoon

Today

Helped a heroin addict to at least talk and have a decent meal
Helped a prostitute stop and become a financial analyst as before the crash
Listened to a middle ages woman ho was trying to fix a failing marriage by chasing new men
Get a son to understand that his drunkard who father drank 16 pints night and then still had energy to beat him but not caused by him

Helped a woman who feared her father so much she wouldn’t ring him understand it was the “sins of his father not her who was the issue”
Listened to many 30 year old Chinese women who have lost trust in everyone and mainly men due to the Cultural Revolution
Got people who never want to open their hearts again to try
A decade of “non trusting people who don’t even trust there parents.

An arrogant younger generation who think the world s these to be taken with no effort
A people you think their country owes them a living
A misguided older generation who wonder where the word is going

A whole world driven to madness if the fame of the latest gadget but no time for their children or partners
A “no thinking no planning” society
Where the mobile and internet is king
Speed of information is the savior
More byte, mega giga tetra etc
Nothing is fast enough
The queues still remain
McDonald’s, KFC, Pizza huts getter busier
The old Chinese traditions are being lost
The history of their ancestries no one case
Where do their grandparents come from? What did they do? “Don’t know don’t’ care”.

A universe so big that a 100-year of light can’t travel across it (Light travels at 20 billion miles a day count that)

So what has all that learning done?

Made be humble yes and no.
Made me more caring yes and no
Made me realize am insignificant yes and no

You have to have been in the deepest valley before you can appreciate the glory of the view of the highest mountain.

Well I know I have not been in the lowest valley but most of you reading this have never been close.

I believe my fate has served me well. For my journey up the hill towards the mountain with the friends I have met down in the valley. These people are true friends. I had nothing to offer them but me and that is all they wanted.
I had lots and lots of friends on my old mountain and you people know who you are
Your were not my friends.
You were vultures in many forms and disguises.

I am not bitter but pity you. For on judgment day the lord will judge they are no armor he can’t pierce.

I have not time for these people if they need me I am always there but it is always someone else fault never their own.

My time is for those that think like me.



“Money cant buy you love” money can get you a lifestyle so you can live at ease and concentrate on important things. This level is different for everyone one but you will know when you are there

When you are there -reflect which sliding door do you now go through the old one if you had money before or the happiness one – at this point true wealth is obtained? Every one to their own. I have made my choice. No more boats big houses lot of friends lots of drinking. This doesn’t mean I don’t like fun I have more fun than ever now watching other people on their treadmill waiting for their time to be called

“Not now” they reply “I haven’t finished my G & T yet”

Then they truly know live was not a dress rehearsal. Their epitaph etched forever.
