(Free-Press-Release.com) January 18, 2012 --
Today, Market Moose joins Wikipedia, Reddit, Wordpress.Org, Mozilla, OReilly Media and other sites going dark on Wednesday January 18th to protest censorship of the internet via SOPA (the misnamed Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (the falsely named Protect IP Act) which result in blacklists that censor sites with little recourse or due process.
While Market Moose deeply values its clients and intend to continue serving them today, it is precisely because it values its clients that for this one day we feel we simply cannot remain silent about your freedom for the sake of maybe inviting a few more prospects. Internet censorship affects every business, every professional, and every person's liberty.
Market Moose is an internet marketing company. If people are not free to access what they wish and say what they wish on the net, then it will chill the value of the net as a tool for you, for your clients, and for interacting with people, information, and organizations we all consider valuable.
As professionals in this area, we would be seriously remiss to sin by silence in the face of that. You will not have access to the web site today, but can still e-mail Market Moose. Market Moose regrets any inconvenience your congresspeople (and ours) have caused the world by their arrogant and presumptuous bid for control over this free venue.
